Erica Genereux Smith is a writer and filmmaker whose work has been programmed all over the world. Her MFA thesis film at York University was awarded a Joseph-Armand Bombardier Canada Graduate Scholarship. Short films she has written and directed have screened at the Vancouver International Film Festival, The Atlantic International Film festival, New York Anthology Film Archives, Brooklyn's Northside Festival, Sidewalk Film Festival, VideoMass, Bloody Mary Film Festival, and the Canadian Film Festival. 

Her short film Are You With Me? was named one of the year’s best shorts by FilmPulse Magazine and her most recent short film, A Woman on the Telephone (CBC), a collaboration writer and performer with Kayla Lorette, premiered at the Vancouver International Film Festival and went on to many international festivals, including the Lower East Side Festival in New York, and the Sidewalk Festival in Birmingham.
